'If you are thinking of learning to ride a motorbike and especially like me you are a complete novice, this is the best place to go. I contacted Bowlee Riders after completing my CBT twelve months before. I had had a bad experince with another school and wanted to get back on the bike but was a bit scared and very nervous. After speaking to Martin, who advised me the best way to go about completing the Direct Access course, I was happy to pay up front for a block course, within a month i had passed both my Module 1 and Module 2 the first time!! it was all down to Martin, who is the best teacher you could have He knows his stuff, is passionate about what he is doing, calm and puts you under no pressure. We had laughs along the way and it was a great experience. He even put up with my many questions i kept asking ( and i did ask alot), and was very patient, Nothing was too much to ask. The bikes are well maintained and great to ride. The whole team and outfit are very professional. I am now the proud owner of a BMW GS and look forward to touring on it in the future. Thankyou Bowlee for giving me a whole new aspect to my life, Carol Carter. Many thanks to Martin @ Bowlee for the instruction & training on his Vespa T5 which enabled me to pass MOD 1 last week and MOD 2 this morning, both at the 1st time of asking! Excellent tips and advice and time put aside to give candidate (me & the others) every possible chance of passing. I highly recommend Bowlee to anybody considering taking their bike test on a bike or geared Scooter. Once again, many thanks Bowlee, and best wishes. Andy (Buxton Black Sheep Scooter Club)

My name is Joe and since sep 2010 I have been trying to complete the Direct Access  training, after trying for two years a handful of tests and Training Schools  later I was ready to give up and call it a day and then I came across Martin at Bowlee Motorcycle Training,
Martin being an experienced trainer and person with very good manners, good qualities, great personality with lots of worldly experiences set off to work in getting me up to quality standard for passing my test, all on new well maintained motorcycles,
Martin surprised myself by totally transforming my style of riding and up to a standard that for sure would get me a pass, all I had to do was exercise what he taught me,
On the sept 4th 2012 two years later my elation was uncontrollable when the examiner told me I had passed, personally I have a lot to thank Martin for and would recommend Bowlee Motorcycle Training to anybody who wants to pass Direct Access or CBT.

I have just passed my Module 1 and 2  first time, i will be recommending  Bowlee Riders to all my friends and any people i meet who is thinking about doing there CBT or Scooter  Licence, i Have been riding for quite a few years and had never bothered to take the test, i found everyone at Bowlee to be very professional at all times and friendly, thank you very much see you at the rallies

I have done my A2 motorbike license with Martin. First we did the Module 1. cones and car park, which is more difficult than it sounds. I passed this and then I did the Module 2 - Road ride, and I also passed that and so now I have my A2 license and can take my L plates off. I can only say that the reason I passed both of these tests was entirely due to Martins Instruction. He is the most patient, reassuring, professional teacher I have ever met. He never once got irritated, or shouted at me, and believe me, I can be hard work at times. He has a great sense of humour which carries you through when nerves set in or on cold winter nights riding about in the dark. I have learned so much during my training. I can highly recommend this place. If you want to pass your test, and want to ENJOY the experience and training then this is the place to go without a doubt. He operates from a really friendly environment, makes a cup of tea and shares the biscuits. I paid the full amount up front for the training package and tests, and never once was money mentioned again. I have definitely had more than my moneys worth, with plenty of practice, time and instruction. This guy is clearly not in it for the money, and his enthusiasm and caring nature really shines through. He is knowledgeable and organised, but relaxed and chilled out. I enjoyed the training so much I almost regret passing my test as I wont need to go any more,I did my CBT somewhere in Bolton and the whole experience was awful. I almost gave up half way through.

Who would have thought that I would go on to pass both of my tests FIRST TIME !!!
Martin is most certainly in the right job and I can only say, don't book anywhere else. This place is the BEST !!!

I would just like to say a massive thank you to Martin at bowlee rider for helping me achieve my goal.
I'd been a pillion rider for a number of years going to various bike rallies and always wished i could ride my own bike, but at 52 and lacking in confidence thought it was too late untill !!! i was told about Bowlee Rider,i went along a dithering wreck and met Martin who had the patience of a saint,i had a taster lesson and Martin filled me with confidece that i could do it ,a few lessons later i did my CBT and now 4 months later i have just come back from my 1st rally in Sheffield on my own bike(i'm buzzin can't believe how good it feels) we had realy heavy rain on the way back over the Woodhead thought it would be scarey but all i could hear was Martins calm instructions and got threw it no problem and with confidence
thanks again Martin you made it so easy i'll be back for my Mod 1 and 2

Element B
All covered to a very high standard, good use of Q & A and interaction with the trainees, all of the information delivered was clear & concise & pitched at the correct level for all the trainees.

Element C
Excellent element, Martin delivered the lessons to a “textbook” standard, I could offer no advice as to how the element could have been improved as there were no weaknesses in any area, The explanations and demonstrations given at the beginning of each module were clear & comprehensive but without ever becoming overly long and complicated. Due to the high standard of the lesson delivery there were very few faults committed by the trainees, those faults that were committed were immediately identified & remedied. Also worthy of mention was Martins concern for the trainee’s welfare insisting on the trainees taking regular breaks and drinks to ensure that they were not adversely affected by the very hot weather.

Element D
Again this element was exemplary, the route started off in a nursery area, the trainees were never pushed beyond their comfort zone, the level of difficulty throughout the road ride was carefully judged to be appropriate for the trainees ability level. All required traffic situations were covered, Martins radio work was clear & there were lots of pre-emptive guidance when appropriate, his fault identification, fault analysis & remedial advice was perfect in all cases.
